I have good news for AWS customers using our South America (São Paulo) Region. Effective April 1, 2020 we are reducing prices for Data Transfer Out to the Internet (DTO) from the South America (São Paulo) Region by 40%. Data Transfer in remains free.
Here are the new prices for DTO from EC2, S3, and many other AWS services to the Internet:
Monthly Usage Tier | Previous AWS Rate ($/GB) | Price Adjustment | New AWS Rate ($/GB) |
Less than 10 TB |
0.250 | -40% | 0.150 |
Less than 50 TB | 0.230 | -40% | 0.138 |
Less than 150 TB | 0.210 | -40% | 0.126 |
More than 150 TB | 0.190 | -40% | 0.114 |
At AWS, we focus on driving down our costs over time. As we do this, we pass the savings along to our customers. This is our 81st price reduction since 2006.
If you want to get started with AWS, the AWS Free Tier includes 15 GB/month of global data transfer out and lets you explore more than 60 AWS services.
